Champion Saltwater Sealution Better known as Cap'n Crunch to his friends!

Ch. Saltwater Sealution (Ch. Saltwater Thermopylae X Ch. Saltwater Storms 'N Stories) "Crunch" is owned by Mary, Charlie, Matthew and Rebecca Hiscock of St. John's.  He acquired his nick name just after birth when all the puppies in the litter were named after cereal characters!  Crunch recently finished his Canadian championship at the Newfoundland Kennel Club March 1999 shows where he went Best of Winners day one for a five point major and the next day he went all the way to the top with a Best of Breed and Group 3rd in his first show as a Special!  Crunch was expertly handled to these wins by Wendy March, AKA the "Terminator".  Credit for Crunch's winning also has to be given to his owner Mary who spent lots of time on the mats honing Crunch for the shows. Crunch is co-owned by Alan & Robyn Thorne of Saltwater Golden Retrievers. Crunch's registered Name "Sealution" comes from a sea kayak manufactured by Wilderness Systems.  This was designed by a friend  and business associate of Alan: Harrie Tieken.  The kayak is shown above.
