NAME ... Gardner, Robert M.
SPECIES ... Hominidae. Mammal, biped. This species is often referred to as a human being by species commoners. Please note there have been disputes regarding this quick assumption of my origin among certain high ranking medical officials. These individuals have vowed to reveal what I truly am to the rest of humanity "when the time is right." I, however, am not deterred by these wild accusations and will continue my missio... er... life as a normal, regular, average, run of the mill, from the planet Earth human being.
SUB-SPECIES ... Caucasian of Canada. It is easy for illegal "aliens" to slip beyond the largely undefended borders of Canada, EH?
GENDER ... Physically, male. Mentally, psuedo-female. No, it doesn't refer to being gay.
HAIR ... Dark brown, short-medium length. Root factions within the hairline consortium have been on a slow, albeit steady, retreat from the facial region of my head. Attempts to prevent my face from bullying my hair into retreat have failed. Talks have been strained and no immediate resolution is within sight.
EYES ... Blue, green, hazel, all the aformentioned. After several surveys, consultations, and polls from various sources my true eye color has yet to be determined. I have considered hiring the IpSos-Reid research group to find out the answer to this often perplexing question.
HEIGHT ... 6'0", 72", 180cm.
WEIGHT ... 155lbs, 70kg. It may be noted this is an estimated representation and not a precise number. My weight tends to flucuate up and down between 145 and 155lbs as the year progresses.
DATE OF BIRTH ... March 16, 1976. If you are to include the nine month gestation period for these bodies is it plausible to say I'm nine months older than I really am?
TOWN ... Origin; Bishop's Falls. It is a small town located 12km east of nearby Grand Falls. Grand Falls is location 360km west of nearby Gander. Gander is located 360km west of nearby St.John's. St.John's is located roughly 1500km north east of New York, USA. Currently, I'm located in the town of Grand Falls-Windsor, in the Windsor section.
PROVINCE/STATE ... Newfoundland. The province of Newfoundland (and Labrador) is located on the far east coast of Canada. In fact, Newfoundland is so far east we have an extra half hour on our own time zone. Or, at least, the Newfoundland half has an extra half hour.
COUNTRY ... If you don't know where a large, well-known country like Canada is located then you're in dire need of serious geographical assistance.
PLANET ... Earth. If you don't know where the planet Earth is then I want absolutely nothing to do with you, honest.
ARTWORK ... As far back as I can remember I've had the ability to draw or sketch whatever my imagination could conjure from the murky depths of my mind. My preference and talent is in drawing quickie comic and cartoon characters, so I wouldn't consider myself as much a pen-and-pencil artist as a cartoonist and humorer. I'm not a great artist when it comes to the pencil, but a decent one.
COMPUTER GRAPHICS ... Naturally, in the early 1990s when I had acquired a computer powerful enough to handle the software, my interest in computers turned from the technical side to the graphical side. I became very interested in various types of computer graphics. I learned how to create sprites, 3D models, graphics for websites, and editting photographs (modifying, repairing, and enhancing).
COMPUTER PROGRAMMING ... I have experience with C, C++ (DOS/Windows), Visual Basic, Turbo Pascal, (working knowledge of the newer Delphi), a novice understand of Assembly Language, and HTML (if you want to consider HTML a programming language as some do). ANSI C is my favorite programming language/environment while internet programming (client and server applications) and multi-player games (RPG and MUDs) are my favorite fields. I gained an interest in computer programming around the age of thirteen, mostly because I was interest in writing computer games. I've gotten a little rusty since I've slacked off on the programming side of things, but I still tinker with code occasionally.
WEBSITE DESIGN ... A quarter of my computing time and effort goes into learning various aspects of website design. My interest in websites sprouted from my knowledge of HTML (which is a little limited) and my knowledge in creating computer graphics (which is a little advanced). I've never worked professionally as a website designer, but I have a decent amount of experience in both layout of content and graphic design. I've designed quite a few websites over the last few years for myself and people I've chatted with via the internet--for free, as a way to gain experience in website design. For instance, this website is one example of my work and about the seventh website I've designed for myself alone.
GRAPHIC DESIGN .... I would have to say most of my computer time is spent dealing with computer graphics--learning the various software pacakages (both 2D and 3D), reading tutorials, creating graphics for people, and editting or repairing digital photographs. Like designing websites, I've never worked professional as a graphic designer, but I have a good amount of experience in working with many computer graphics applications and creating a finished product. I've been interested in computer graphics since the early 1990's when I first had access to Adobe Photoshop and found its abilities to manipulate pictures fascinating.
