A most fitting painting to introduce the work of my father James G Messer. He was a self taught water colour artist though a dentist by trade. The painting depicts the Buachaille Etive Mhor, his favourite mountain in Scotland. It is also his final resting place. It captures well the amber hues and peat browns that one sees in the highlands of Scotland.
