Well I've had this page up now for a little while and I guess it's about time that I started putting some new stuff here. I'm glad to see that some people have been e-mailing me with some suggestions about what to do with the page and I intend to consider each one. For those of you who haven't been here before, this page is dedicated to the band Flotsam and Jetsam who I think are the best metal band on the scene today. On this page you will find a bio of the band, a complete discography, lyrics to their albums, interviews with past and present members of the band, and some pix. In the near future I am hoping to have some sound files added and maybe a video clip or two. I am now in the process of encoding the band's new video for the song "Monster" which I received from the owner of the official Flotsam page, Stephen Marshall. Be sure to check his page out because it's a really good page. He will definitely have the video posted on his page and depending on the space that I have, I might have a video also. So if you see anything you like (or don't like) or you have a comment or suggestion, you can e-mail me at the address at the bottom of the page.

With all of the different styles of music that are on the go today, there are only a select few bands that are actually making a go of it. Some of these bands are constantly in the spotlight getting the recognition they may or may not deserve, and then there are the bands that are putting out excellent music but are not getting recognized as much as they should. The band Flotsam and Jetsam is a band that falls into this category. This band has been putting out excellent music for over a decade and have stuck to their roots without hopping on the commercial bandwagon like a lot of bands do. They are an exceptional band who don't mess around with trying to sell their image but concentrate on writing music that they want to play. They don't let people push them around and try to influence the type of music they release, which is probably one reason why they have been on three record labels in their career. Overall they are just an in-your-face band that kick your ass with every song. It is due to these reasons that I think Flotsam and Jetsam are the best metal band on the scene today and they definitely deserve more recognition than they get.
The band have been together since 1983 and originally reside from Arizona. There are five members, two of which have been there since the beginning. The position that seemed the hardest for the boys to fill was the bass player. When they first started off they had a steady bassist by the name of Jason Newsted who was a major contributor for lyrics and music on the band's first album, but he left in 1986 to join another band by the name of Metallica. Some people think that this was a good choice and others think that it was a bad one, but it seems to have worked out for the best. As for me, I think that Jason felt that he had to do it and hey, if Jason had never left, Flotsam would never have had Jason Ward in the band. Without Jason Ward, Flotsam would not be the band that they are today. Flotsam may have lost a good bassist, but they also got the chance to work with two talented musicians (not that the other guys aren't talented :}). Anyway, here is a complete list of the current and past band members.

I have finally started to get this page in order. The lyrics for all the songs are posted and I hope to have some sound filez added soon. If you haven't heard the new album yet, I strongly recommend that you go and get it. The guys have outdone themselves once again. It's hard to pick my favorite song but it is probably a toss up between "High Noon" and "Everything." Those two songs just blew my mind when I first heard them. So, I really give this album my highest compliments.
As good as this page is (hehe), I can't take all of the credit myself. I must send out some fuck yeah's to the following with whom I would not have been able to keep this page in the shape it's in: Stephen Marshall, Brian Thomas, Steve Thorne, and Brad McCarthy. These guys have helped me out whenever I needed something for the page so check out their homepages, especially Stephen's, if you're a Flotsam fan; they are all in my links section.

Here are some of the pages that have caught my eye or have some interest to me. Check them out.
