The Ice Worm (also known as Yakhmar or Remora)
- Book(s) -
- Location - A glacier in the Eiglophian mountains known
as "Snowdevil Glacier" or "River of Death Ice"
- Physical features - A huge, snakelike worm, large enough
to devour a grown man. Its skin is covered with a thick, white fur.

equipped with small, inward pointing teeth. Its head is smooth and eel-like.
The Ice Worm radiates cold, and produces a pipelike sound which hypnotizes its
victims.
- Role - The iceworm has lived long enough to become a
legend in the lands surrounding it's lair. The legends
speak of mysterious deaths and of the place from wich
no one returns. The Iceworm killed and half devoured a
girl (Ilga) Conan rescued from a band of cannibals.
After this, Conan tracked down the Iceworm and killed
it using white hot coals and and axe, he threw the coals
and axe in the mouth of the iceworm. When the heat

The Grey Ape
- Book(s) - The Hour of the Dragon
- Location - Primarily in the rugged foothills on the eastern
shore of the Sea of Vilayet.
- Physical features - A vicious ape/humanoid-like mammal
notorious for its unmatched strength and its bloodthirsty temperment.
Standing roughly 8 feet, its shaggy barrel-like torso glides easily over
rough terrain using its long, thickly corded arms. These massive arms are
used to crush bones and deliver a bloody meal into the yellow-tusked mouth
of its deformed face. Conan notes that its face resembled a mishapened
primitive human. This travesty of a creature is known to have a taste for
human bone marrow.
- Role - After the defeat on the Aquilonian army at the
hands of its eternal Nemedian nemesis, Conan finds himself imprisoned
within the dungeons of a Nemedian castle. Here, with some aid, he is able
to escape his shackles. In the darkness of the dungeon, he encounters a
foul grey ape and just barely escapes with his life.
