I am the third in the family of five brothers and a sister. I have two older brothers namely Chandrakant Bhai and Vipin Bhai and two younger brothers - Surendra and Praful. Then I have a sister - Smita who is the youngest and is married to Pradip Joshi
Canada has been a home to our family for more than thirty years. Our family origin is two generations from Gujarat in India and my parents lived in Kenya in East Africa during most of their adult life. Our activity in East Africa included trading in textiles and sundry goods and we were a fairly successful middle class family.
I am married to Pramila , daughter of Jaswantrai and late Hiraben Bhatt who also come from Kenya. This year we will celebrate our thirty two years of being married. Pramila has been teaching at MUN Preschool Center for the past twenty five years and prior to that she operated her own nursery school in Nairobi, Kenya.
We have three children . Sapna is our oldest daughter and is married to Deepak Mistry. She completed her Business administration and is currently the branch manager at the Gap Kid store in Mississaugua Deepak specializes in the field of communications and is in top management.
The next in line is our son Amrit who is a computer specialist. He is currently enrolled to pursue further in the field of Information Technology specializing to be a web master and also doing business studies at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Our youngest daughter is Shilpa who is studying Theater at the Brock University in St.Catherines. She is also active in modeling.
