Municipal Tax Incentive Policy

This policy is intended to provide a form of tax relief to new businesses establishing a corporate entity for service or product in the initial years of operation. Exemptions are for up to ten years depending on initial investment.

EDGE

Economic Diversification and Growth Enterprises program (EDGE) is a provincial government tax incentive program which allows qualifying businesses to receive a ten year tax holiday from all provincial corporate taxes followed by a five year phase in period. Bishop's Falls is a designated EDGE community and extends an additional holiday from municipal taxes during this period.

Under the EDGE program companies can purchase unserviced industrial lots for only $1.
