Highlights

We have a staff of seasoned registered professional full-time guides and have had 99% success on mature stag (male) woodland caribou and enjoy 75+% success on bull moose.

Within 1000 yards of the main lodge we have taken Boone and Crockett class moose and caribou AND Pope and Young class caribou! We have over 3000 caribou in the isolated herd we hunt and in Newfoundland enjoy some of the highest moose densities in the world (4 times higher than Alaska on average). Bear average over 300 pounds with an estimated 200 mature animals in our hunting area of 1200 sq miles. We offer unbaited hunts with high success rates (25 to 50% depending in dates). We also offer baited hunts for large mature bears with near 100% success.

The Lodge is located in the heart of 'Trophy' woodland caribou, moose and black bear country. Our hunting area consists of more than 1200 sq. miles of remote wilderness.

The terrain of the area consists of rolling barren alpine hills and heavily wooded side slopes. Valleys consist of hilly barrens, boreal woodland and long sections of tundra. The landscape is crisscrossed with numerous heavily traveled caribou trails making traveling easier than typical remote boreal hunting areas.

The cabin has a large viewing deck surrounding the lodge perimeter and is used with a spotting scope to look for moose and caribou along the lake shore. The windows are modern, screened and can be opened on warm days. The lodge is fully equipped with wood burning furnace; propane and electric lighting, propane range, and hot water tank; hot and cold running water; mobile telephone; and mattresses in all bedrooms. Everything needed for a comfortable yet remote hunting experience. Sorry,...no jacuzzis' - just lots of good big game hunting.
